Yes, you will need a Sketchup and PlusSpec license to best utilise the training course and templates. A lot of the processes can be directly created just with the native Sketchup tools alone, however we fully utilise the PlusSpec tools to then be able to extract more accurate geometry for accurate take offs and costing feedback. We use PlusSpec and Sketchup for all our workflows from preconstruction right through to the  completion of the project.

We highly recommend PCs and use a PC system ourselves in building and design business. A lot of the softwares and plugins for SketchUp are built with PCs in  mind. That way they operate best on a PC.
